When you’re finished using the scale, the bowl can be put in the dishwasher, giving you more time to enjoy your culinary creations. Zeroing and weighing
Place the empty pan provided on the scale and check that the pointer is at the zero mark before weighing. To adjust the pointer to zero; slowly turn the rotating knob located on the top or rear of the scale then tap the pan gently to settle the mechanism. Readjust if necessary. Please note, some models have a sliding tab on the front or side of the scale instead of a rotating knob.
Note: For best results when weighing, always add ingredients to center of the pan.

Cleaning and care

To prevent damage DO NOT:
a. stand scale or bowl near an oven or other direct source of heat
b. immerse scale in water
c. clean with abrasive or chemical agents
d. allow to come into contact with strongly flavored/colored foods or acids such as citrus fruit-zest which can cause damage to the plastic surfaces.
Note: Where such items are used, it is recommended that the bowl or weighing surface first be lined with grease proof paper or cling-film and washed/wiped clean immediately afterwards.
The outer casing of the scale may be wiped clean with a damp cloth and the bowl can be washed by hand or by dishwasher.
The mechanism does NOT require maintenance of any kind.
The bowl supplied with this product must not be placed in a microwave oven.
